Will Il be able to play "Live" with this way. Well, I didn't understand you quite well. How I'd know if my GR3 version is a VST version. Reaper is quite easy to set up for this task of yours. record input (dry) and then tweak the sound afterwards by adding GR3 (or another effects)) - Through KVR Plug-in database, you'll find more effect plug-ins to use. (you can record your quitar playing (wet (the GR3 output) or dry (clean guitar sound )) as well, add another effect. Load GR3 into, lets say, Reapers FX slot and load the audiotrack as well (use another track). The GR3 VST (and DX if this is still there) version is just the same as the standalone version is (without I/O options). VST version is bundled w/ the GR package. Quote from: Juha on 06:20:17 In your situation, I would start using the VST version rather than what you are going to do. So could anyone help me ? Is vista the problem ? or my ALC272 doesn't support Multiple Streaming ? I don't think an old laptop will have a better Audio chipset than the Qosmio's.

Only, Guitar Rig 3 (ASIO4ALL) needs to start first, then I can play songs as many as I can with Windows Media player. I had another old Toshiba Satellite A110 laptop. It is running on Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2.

I have an Old PC in my home that has a Mercury motherboard. I have tried many audio apps, like Foobar with WASAPI enabled, J River as well, WinAmp. I can't run sounds while ASIO4ALL is using the speakers. I tried to play with a song at the background. It acts like my own guitar processor, I plug my guitar into the line in jack and everything works fine.

I installed the Universal ASIO4ALL drivers to use it with Guitar Rig 3. As you know ALC272 is a chipset do it doesn't have its own ASIO drivers. The laptop is running on Vista Home Premium SP1. I have a Toshiba Qosmio X300-158 Laptop with Realtek ALC272 High Definition Audio Codecs. Many people suggested me to try HydrogenAudio as they are expert in the Audio field. I don't know if it is hard to that limit to fix. I posted in forums and actually get no response.

Many people complained on their facebook or even on their forums (notably a lot of producers) but they wouldn't listen to them.Well, I am searching for a solution to my problem for about 2 months. Plus, the score has always existed, it's not like it's a revolution. Some people find it easier with the score, but it's because they are not as used to the numbers as others are. It's fine if some people use the score, I can understand that, and I myself find it infinitely clearer to read than a GP drum tab obviously because those numbers are only midi notes for general midi, but removing the possibility completely is just annoying for those who used it. Now all that have changed, and even the way the edition window follows the cursor feels a bit less natural to me (it would move more often if you're in certain settings, not like let's say microsoft Word who doesn't make your words move relatively to your screen while you type the next ones) but that other thing is more nitpicking. I could write complicated drum rolls in drum tabs because I know by heart all the usual midi numbers (36, 38, 40, kick and snares, 42 closed hi hat, 46 open hi hat, 41 43 45 47 48 toms 49 57 crash 52 china etc etc) and also because the "edit window" in GP5 behaves a very natural way, and the rythm edition is fast using + and - and a few other keys around the numpad (on a PC keyboard though). The thing is that it's way slower using the score, and the copy/pasting is better dealt with and feels more natural in tabs than in the score line. For instance you cannot write "36" for a kick the way you want on the tab. You cannot write drum the same way as you write guitar tabs. What if you export the midi, and import it in your DAW, now find the event list of your midi, does it countain anything special except the usual notes, track name, etc ? And those programmers seem like they only care about RSE banks, and don't even wanna talk about drum tabs : did you change any setting ? If any of you has a way to have guitar pro 5 working on latest macosx version, I would erect a worship statue of him in my room because it seems even using an old GP5 doesn't work anymore. Come on, there were way enough midi notes available for that, and even S2.0 or SSD4 have half the midi notes unused).

I can write entire complicated songs and program drums there, and fine tune in my DAW.Īnd they removed that full feature, giving stupid explanations for doing so (they "needed new articulations that midi can't provide to deal with their drums".

They have fucking removed drum tab, and that was the best feature of this awesome piece of software that were V4/V5.
